Out-of-home (OOH) advertising rights for Oakville Transit's buses have been awarded to Pattison Outdoor Advertising.

With the agreement, which came into effect in October, Pattison now works with six major transit authorities across Canada. Its other markets are Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, Ottawa and Halifax.

Vinyl applications on Oakville Transit's buses are expected to be popular with local advertisers, as municipal restrictions prohibit traditional billboards. The public transportation provider has served Oakville, Ont., since 1972 and currently operates a fleet of 80 buses.
